My name is Ruud Hoornstra, photographer and owner of Fotostudio Zien.

My strength lies in photographing real people in their own surroundings, at work, home and on the move, during their everyday moments, wherever they may be in the world. From a tea plantation in China to an orphanage in Mexico. From a Café in Hong Kong to a fishery in the North Sea. And from a home in the Netherlands to a catering kitchen

round the corner. I do this for the image banks of various major accounts. For these accounts we create scenes using still images that make you feel you are present at the location. These are shot as part of a film situation with a beginning and an end so that in addition to the main image, images are also created that can be used as support material for the scene. The main image is an image that conjures up a feeling of familiarity, and may even allow to viewer to perceive an experience.
